Todd Carter

COACH TODD CARTER is the longest tenured coach on staff for the Jets as he came on board when the school opened its doors in 2012, and only briefly stepped away during the 2021 and 2022 seasons.  He will serve as both Varsity and JV assistant coach.


Prior to his return to JC, Coach Carter spent three seasons as the freshman head coach for the Jets for Coach Johnson (2019-2021).  He also served as the Varsity assistant for the Jets for head coach Shane Medlen as they started the brand new program from 2013-2016.


Coach Carter has had many coaching stops and roles during his long career.  Those stops include:  assistant baseball coach at Wilson High School, assistant baseball, basketball and football coach at Rogers High School, assistant baseball and football coach at Bob Jones High School, head football and baseball coach at Discovery Middle School, Athletic Director at Discovery Middle School, head baseball, football, and softball coach at Liberty Middle School, assistant baseball and football coach at James Clemens High School.


As you can see, Coach Carter has dedicated much of his life to pouring into the young people of north Alabama.  Carter is a Graduate of Wilson High School, as well as the Athens State University.  He played his college baseball career at Calhoun Community College and the University of North Alabama.  He is married to his wife Terri, and has four children: Brock, Maggie Claire, Grant and Abby.
