The Huntsville Metro championships are the local bragging rights for each team for a year. The top 3 teams in each race receive a trophy and the top 15 runners in each race are named to the Huntsville Metro ALL ELITE TEAM.
In the Girls Junior High 2 mile race, James Clemens dominated the competition scoring an amazing PERFECT SCORE of 15. In cross Country the lowest team score wins the meet. the team score is obtained by adding each teams top 5 individual finisher places So 1+2+3+4+5=15 points. This is a rare feat. This was the 3rd time in James Clemens school history that this occurred. James Clemens placed 11 girls in the top 15. This was the most girls to make the Huntsville Metro ALL ELITE TEAM in a single year.
JAMES CLEMENS Cross Country program placed a total of 21 Runners on the Huntsville Metro ALL ELITE Team. This was a school record.
